The Piestar Periodical is a blog about updates, changes, and improvements to the Piestar systems. We gladly welcome requests, suggestions, comments, and feedback.
We were excited to host our first Piestar Advisory Council meeting in February, and learned a lot about what teams like about the Piestar systems and what can be done to improve the systems. We look forward to hosting these 1-hour online meetings each quarter.
Qualitative Questions in Piestar RFx
There is now the ability to add qualitative questions to the review rubric in the Piestar RFx system.
Emulating & Unemulating users in Piestar DPx
Some of the program managers of the Piestar DPx system have asked that they return to the same place in the system they were after they emulate another user in the system. When program managers emulates a user in the Piestar DPx system, they are able to see the system as that user. When the program managers switch back from that user to their own accounts, they now will automatically return to the screen they were on when they emulated the user.
New Event Registration module in Piestar DPx
A new request module has been added Piestar DPx. The new event registration module works like the travel and equipment modules, in that the data is entered and then sent to the program management team for approval. The new event registration module allows team members to register for a event or event within the Piestar DPx system.
Project Type exports in Piestar DPx
Excel exports can now be filtered by project types.
Improved Print View in Piestar DPx
In the print view, drop-down menus are now converted to radios and multiple-choice drop-down menus are converted to checkboxes.
All Reporting Periods in Piestar DPx
All reporting periods can be selected, viewed, and exported from Data Summary and Excel Exports.
As we continue to make improvements to the Piestar systems, our goal is and always will be to meet the needs of those we serve. We are also interested in providing information and training for users of the Piestar systems. If there are areas of the Piestar systems that need further explanation for users, we are happy to conduct training sessions or even make short video tutorials. We are very grateful for the teams we support, and are so proud of the important work they are doing for science and people around the world. We welcome thoughts, ideas, requests, suggestions, comments, feedback and questions. We also gladly welcome referrals.
